AARP Grant Winner

We’re excited to share that we are one of 750 grantees selected to receive a 2026 AARP Community Challenge grant from @AARPLivableCommunities and AARP Kansas  @AARPKS !  We’re incredibly proud to receive this investment to help make Winfield more livable for people of all ages.


With this grant, we will launch our Rapid Ramp Program as part of the existing Home Preservation Program.  This program can provide a temporary wheelchair ramp for low to moderate income households within a few days. The ramps are leased to keep the cost affordable for the short term. The program allows us to install quickly for those unexpected needs due to surgery or injury.  It also provides a temporary ramp if the need is expected to be temporary such as during a recovery period or while arranging to have a more permanent solution built.    Learn more about the AARP Community Challenge: www.aarp.org/CommunityChallenge
