The Home Preservation Program will combine volunteers and construction professionals to preserve homes in the Winfield city limits in an effort to make living here more safe, accessible, healthy and affordable for those who may not be able to make these repairs on their own.
Qualifications
-
Homeowners will be required to participate in their own home preservation through volunteer hours (sweat equity) and affordable payment plans to recover some portion of the cost, depending upon the need.
-
Qualified homes will be owner-occupied and paid current on both insurance and property taxes.
-
Qualified homeowners will meet income limits which may vary depending upon the level of service.
-
The homeowner will complete an application that allows us to determine qualifying status and the home will be assessed to determine compatibility.
